How do you define downtime?

According to the dictionary downtime is a period of ‘rest, relaxation or sleep’.  Reality would suggest downtime is something that it is getting more elusive and all too often a source of guilt.

Entrepreneur ran an article entitled For Parent-Entrepreneurs, Stop the Guilt by Focusing on One Thing at a time. I like that concept for even non-parent entrepreneurs, somehow if we can wrap our heads around focusing on one thing at a time things get done. We are less stressed and quality is back in our personal and professional lives.

And who knew that the whole time off debate has gotten so analytical there are now forums and   websites plus a twitter page @ProjectTimeOff  dedicated to this very subject? Ultimately it comes down to what is right for your business and personal life but does some form of downtime have to happen?  Definitely.
